First Round of Junior Competition Starts
Wet Weather
The number to call is
66267111 which is updated by the ground controller as required usually by 2.30
each day. There are also 2 signs at the field, which indicates if the fields
are closed. Please contact your coach
for other ground closures due to wet weather. You may also visit the Bangalow

Player Uniform
All Players must wear the
correct uniform every week. Black shorts, shin pads and club socks (Shirts will
be available from the coach every week)
The shirts are taken home each week to be washed by a parent on a roster
system. Byron Direct Sports have socks and shorts in stock and are offering a
10% discount to all Bangalow players.
This sports shop is in the Byron Bay Industrial Estate.
Coaches and Managers
Thanks again to all coaches
who have taken on a team this season. We now have all teams with a coach.
However some teams still don’t have managers and grades 9
upwards need parent helpers. So…. If you
see vacancies below please help out your child’s team and Volunteer to help
out….next newsletter it would be great to see all vacancies filled.

Bluedog Stickers
Last year we started a “Spot
the Sticker Competition” and we will continue with it this year. All grade 6 and new players to the
club
will be given a sticker to
put on a car window. Spotters will be
out and about picking car rego numbers and prizes will be on offer throughout the year.
Water Bottles.
All junior players will
receive complimentary “Bluedog” waterbottles from the soccer club, they will be
here in the next few weeks.
Canteen Roster:
All teams will be put on a
canteen roster this season. We will require 3 helpers at each timeslot.

Bangalow Bowling &
Sports Club are our Major sponsors once again
this season The Club Bistro is
offering a special menu for all soccer players.
It will be added to the next
Newsletter. Just mention you are a “Bluedog” when ordering.
Bluedog Merchandise
Caps, Hats, Beanies,
& Jackets will be available at the
canteen from first home game.
Coach the Coaches Program
This year the committee have
acknowledged the need for our coaches to be given assistance. Damon Bell (our
Premier Coach) will be running free coaching sessions to help out coaches with
drills and coaching techniques. More information soon.
Premier Skills & Drills Training for players
Some of our senior Premier
players are offering their time to come and do a few sessions with the
competitive grade teams during training. This has already started, and is
proving very popular. Our Premier Goal keeper Alex Pratt will be offering a
free coaching sessions to all interested Goal Keepers in the next few weeks.
Anzac Day
Our Soccer Club has once
again been invited to March on Anzac Day in the local parade. Any interested
players please arrive at 10.30 at the side of the hotel and we will have
playing shirts available. Just wear black shorts, club socks and boots.

All new coaches will be
given club shirts to wear to games compliments of the soccer club. Hope all
“Old” coaches can wear theirs as well.
