The Season is starting...Thank God!!

Discard the black shroud, cease the incessant chanting and wailing, put out the incense and postpone the ceremonial sacrifices ...The long wait is over...season 2010 is now upon us*.

The 2010 season is set to be the biggest yet. Not only is it a World Cup year but also the Mighty Bangalow Bluedogs turn a ripe old 40yrs ( Coincidently Rudge’s moustache is turning 35 also!) So all the backyard Ronaldos, XBox Beckhams and arm chair Guus Hiddinks 2010 is the time to shine at the Kennel this year.

To kick start the season there are a few important dates next week.

  • Senior Men & Women’s sign on BBQ will be held on Tuesday 2nd February at 6.00pm at the soccer fields.
  • Official senior men's training will start on Thursday 4th February at 6.00pm and the
  • women on Wednesday 10th February at 6.00pm
  • A senior coach and Managers meeting will be held on sign on

It will be best to get in early as numbers already look set to eclipse last year and teams will form quickly and if you want to nab the highly converted left back of Roley then get your skates on.

* let it be noted that for some die hards there is no such thing as an end or beginning of a season - life to them is just one big season punctuated by work and sleep eg: Micky Juice

For the second week in a row these two proud clubs faced up against each other. And for the second week in a row the games were a traditional arm wrestle from start to finish.
